Social Services

The Pathways staff is able to support our residents and the Dutchess County Department of Community and Family Services as a resource for both parties. We are able to help residents understand the services and programs available in the county and offer them the resources they need to follow up on looking for housing, employment, child care, and other services. The case workers at DCFS are in contact with the staff at Pathways and rely on us to help the residents while they are in our care. The supportive services offered at Pathways, because of our intimate number of residents, are an effective way of helping our community.

Pathways is an important stopover for individuals as they work on improving their health, future living situation, and employment search. With the support of Pathways staff, the many obligations and pursuits of our clients are made easier and less stressful. Having a comfortable living situation, meals, and access to the internet can make all the difference for someone challenged by homelessness.
